In this page we list the Dual-tone Multi-frequency (DTMF) codes supported by ImpactPBX.

*0<dial number> | Speed Dial | Yes | No | Speed dial a contact number. In order to enable this functionality, the following should be done:

*1 | Call Transfer | No | Yes | Transfer a call to another extension. After *1, the extension number should be given followed by # or wait for 5 seconds. This functionality can be used only by the caller. |
*2 | Start Recording | No | Yes | Start a recording during a call. |
*4 | Attended Call Transfer | No | Yes | Attended call transfer to another extension. After *4, the extension number should be given followed by #. For example,

*5 | Mask Recording | No | Yes | Mask a recording during a call, i.e., replace live audio with silence. |
*6 | Unmask Recording | No | Yes | Unmask a recording during a call, i.e., stop masking and continue live audio normally. |
*8 | Group Intercept | Yes | No | Group Intercept. For example, if extension 1002 is ringing, extension 1001 can answer the call if it dials *8 and if both 1001 and 1002 belong to the same extension/call group. |

*411 | Directory | Yes | No | Dial an extension by name using DTFM codes (e.g., number 2 maps to a, b and c) . An extension will be included in the search list if its directory first name and/or last name are set. Also, the extension’s “Directory Visible” field should be set to true. |
*724 | Page | No | No | Initiate a demo conference (page). A special pin number should be given followed by #. The special number can be found in the Tools → PIN Numbers app. A predefined set of destinations is set to 101, 102, 103 and 105. *5901-*5999 | Manual Valet Parking | Yes | No | Manual valet parking transfers a current call to an available park extension, where the caller will listen to Music on Hold (MoH). The extension that originally received the call is now free to accept other calls or direct another extension to join the call that was parked. To activate this feature, the valet_parking dialplan should be enabled and the valet_park_in and valet_park_out dialplans should be disabled. Use Case:

*5900 | Automatic Valet Parking | Yes | No | Similar with the manual valet parking but the park extension (e.g., *5901) will be played back to you. To activate this feature, the valet_park_in and valet_park_out dialplans should be enabled and the valet_parking dialplan should be disabled. |
*5901-5999 | Automatic Valet Un-Parking | Yes | No | Retrieve an automatic valet parked call. To activate this feature, the valet_park_in and valet_park_out dialplans should be enabled and the valet_parking dialplan should be disabled.
