Symptom
The ability for CRM to identify if lead or Customer is already created to avoid any duplication.
Resolution
To active the duplicate functionality you need to , navigate to:
Settings > User Management > Roles > Edit Role
Tick ‘'Don't Allow Duplicates’'
And then press save
Once that permission is granted the below message will appear if a Lead or Customer is created using the same E-mail:
This message will only appear when you move to the next field after filling out the email and when you client save.
Important Note:
1. In case a lead & customer has been archived, CRM will still not allow the user to proceed
2. Granting the ‘'Don't Allow Duplicates’' permission applies to both Leads & Customers
