When a Company is a Lead/Customer it often requires having multiple Contacts associated with it.
A Contact in Impact CRM can include the following details:
Personal Information
Title
First Name
Last Name
Email
Gender
Birthday
Country
Language
Assigned Information
Lead (the Lead that the contact is associated with)
be Public or Private (*Note: A user has access to the contacts that he created and to public contacts)
Tags
Addresses
Phones
Notes
Required Permissions:
View Contacts > Gives the CRM user the ability to view the contacts
Manage Contacts > Gives the CRM user the ability to create, update or delete a contact. *Note: To be able to assign a Contact to a Lead, the View Leads/View All Leads permission has to be granted to the CRM user.
Manage Contact Tags > Gives the CRM user the ability to assign tags to contacts. *Note: View Tags permission is required as well.
User Ownership Transfer Contacts > Currently this is not needed. In the near future this permission will allow the user to transfer all the contacts from one lead to another.
How to:
1. Create a Contact
There are three ways to create a new contact:
a. Directly from the Contact module page
b. Through the Customer’s profile quick actions
c. Through the Lead’s profile quick actions
2. Update a Contact
A Contact can be amended by clicking the related blue (pencil shaped) edit button in the Contacts module page.
It can also be done from the Contacts tab in the profile of the Lead/Customer that the Contact is associated with.
3. Delete a Contact
A Contact can be deleted by clicking the related red (bin shaped) delete button in the Contacts module page.
It can also be done from the Contacts tab in the profile of the Lead/Customer that the Contact is associated with.
Warning: All related Contact details are permanently deleted
4. Assign Contact to a Lead
There are three ways to assign a Contact to a Lead:
a. A Contact can be assigned to a Lead by clicking the related black button in the Contacts module page.
b. Through the Contact’s profile
5. Adding Tags to a Contact
There are two ways to add Tags to a Contact:
a. Tags can be added to a Contact by clicking the related (three dots) button in the Contacts module page
b. Through the Contact’s profile
6. Filter Contacts
You can filter the Contacts by:
First name
Last name
Email
Public: Yes/No
Created at (date)
